What is camp all about?

Camp is an important life-changing experience for youth, and truly a Canadian tradition. Millions of campers of all ages across Canada attend camp each summer, and some attend camp programs in all seasons! At camp, campers are supervised by trained staff who guide them through physical activities like sports and other active play, crafts, music and dance and more!

Camp is a safe and positive environment, where campers get to play and have fun. Campers are provided enriching opportunities to develop life skills like resilience, responsibility, independence, and self-confidence!

  • belong to a community that strives to be caring, empathetic and kind, supporting campers to be themselves
  • unplug from technology and play outside with new friends
  • have new experiences while building teamwork and leadership skills
  • push themselves to try new things and make the impossible possible
  • are exposed to new habits, like caring for their belongings and their environment
