OCA Risk, Emergency and Crisis Resource Guide

The Ontario Camps Association (OCA) is a voluntary, non-profit membership organization that works to make Ontario a premiere destination for camp and outdoor education. We aren’t the government – we’re an association of camp professionals committed to maintaining the highest standard of camp, and our Members adhere to more than 600 Health and Safety Standards designed to ensure the safety of campers and staff.

OCA wants all campers, participants and staff to be safer at all camps, and that’s why we’re sharing our recently revised OCA Risk, Emergency and Crisis Resource Guide (2023) as a resource for anyone who wants to use it! This guide helps camps and outdoor education centres to do the planning needed to be ready to respond effectively to emergencies and crises.
