Brigs Youth Sail Training
- Camp
Brigs Youth Sail Training is an overnight summer camp like no other. Join the crew of the STV Pathfinder or TS Playfair and set sail into new horizons. From the minute you step onboard our ships, you are immersed into the experience, by taking the wheel, learning the ropes, and experiencing all the wonderful things sail training has to offer.
You will be an active member of the crew and live, eat and sleep onboard our Tall Ship. By the end of a voyage, you will know the fundamentals of how to sail a Tall Ship and be certified as a Brigs ‘Lead Hand’. But it’s not all sailing! Activities during your voyage will include swimming, singing, campfires and exploring ports and anchorages throughout the Great Lakes.
Our programs are an adventure of a lifetime for youth aged 12-18 years of age. No sailing experience is necessary, and financial assistance is available. Choose from a varitey of our voyages ranging from 3 days to 14 days in length, starting and ending in towns across Ontario.
Brigs Youth Sail Training’s mission is to bring together youth from diverse backgrounds and experiences and, through sail training, foster personal growth, the development of practical skills, the adoption of environmentally sustainable practices and an appreciation of the rich marine history of the Great Lakes.
Step aboard and gain memories and friendships to last a lifetime.
