Olympia’s Outdoor Center serves a variety of clients from school groups to sports teams and corporate groups. Role Summary

In this role, you’re responsible for leading and guiding diverse groups, from students to adults, through engaging and enriching program activities. A key part of this is customizing programs to fit the specific needs of participants while ensuring a fun and positive experience. Your top priority is maintaining a safe and secure environment for everyone involved by following safety protocols, conducting risk assessments, and addressing any concerns immediately. Additionally, you’ll perform general on-site duties that are essential for the smooth operation of the facility, such as maintenance, setting up equipment, and administrative tasks.

Key Responsibilities

• Program Facilitation 
• Ensuring the safety of all participants 
• Creating a positive and uplifting environment 
• Contribute to a positive and energetic camp culture for both clients and staff.
• Engage directly with clients, different departments and staff to ensure a high-quality experience.

Contract Dates: 

Start Date: Monday August 24, 2026 (Training Week Begins) 

End Date: Tuesday October 20, 2026

Qualifications

Required:

• Standard First Aid with CPR-C 
• Clean Police Record Check with Vulnerable Sector 
• Strong Communication Skills 
• Experience with Children
• Ability to work in a team 
• Ability to work long hours 

Preferred:

• National Lifeguard 
• Bronze Cross 
• Pleasure Craft Operator Card 
• Experience with ropes and challenge course
