Whitchurch Riding Academy
WRA Summer Riding Camp 2021
Beginner ♦ Intermediate ♦ Advanced
9 Weekly Sessions – Two Riding Lessons Every Day!
Ages 9 – 15 ♦ Monday to Friday ♦ 9 am – 4 pm daily
Beginner Riders
Campers master the basic skills of English-riding independently in a safe lesson environment. With a focus on safety, additional horsemanship activities include grooming, tacking, feeding, and horse care. Rounding out a full day are supervised horse and equestrian activities, games, singsongs, swimming, and arts & crafts!
Intermediate & Advanced Riders
Experienced riders are challenged with advanced activities that include nutrition, show grooming, basic first aid for horses, and more! Equestrian disciplines include dressage, jumping, mounted games & musical rides.
Safety
Qualified riding instructors are certified in First Aid & CPR, and horses are fully schooled to ensure your child’s safety. Our in-ground pool has a certified NLS Lifeguard. We will be adhering to Ontario Ministry of Health Summer Day Camp Guidelines for COVID-19.
Don’t Forget!
Pack a lunch and snack (no nuts) and bring plenty of fluids. Campers will need a hat, protective sun lotion, swimsuit, and long pants for riding. An approved ASTM/SEI riding helmet is mandatory and can be rented. Boots with a heel and smooth sole are required for riding (rain boots work fine). Please bring a face mask too! We also require screening confirmation daily from parents for temperature and symptoms. We e-mail a list of reminders on the Wednesday before camp.
