Outward Bound Canada’s programs use the challenges and inspiration of the natural environment to allow students to uncover their true potential. We employ adventure-oriented, 21st century learning methodologies to help students build a strong sense of self and community through active and authentic experiences that foster social competence, resilience and environmental responsibility. As a not-for-profit charitable organization we work with groups to ensure our programs are financially accessible through our Group Access Fund we can help support your desires to get outside.
Our outcomes include:
- Deepen student bonding through shared challenge and adventure
- Deepen social & emotional skills: self-efficacy, conflict resolution, problem solving and resilience through real life scenarios
- Inspire increased compassion and empathy by creating safe space for discussing personal identity and values

- Inspire students to approach physical and emotional challenges as vehicles for personal growth
- Build technical skills (e.g. navigation, wilderness travel, camp-craft, paddling, etc.)
