Owned and Operated by YWCA Edmonton, Camp Yowochas is located 45 minutes west of Edmonton in Fallis Alberta. YWCA Edmonton has been running summer programs on the shores of Lake Wabamun since 1916. Offering day camp and overnight camp experiences to 1,600 campers each summer and providing outdoor education, recreation, and environmental education to more than 6,000 visitors through the school year.
Camp Yowochas is currently looking for a Waterfront Specialist. The Waterfront Specialist is responsible for supervising all aspects of the waterfront activities and is required to be a certified lifeguard. The Camp Yowochas waterfront has a fleet of over 50 boats including canoes, voyageur canoes, kayaks, sit-on-top kayaks, and stand-up paddleboards.
Additionally, this summer our Waterfront Specialist will be involved with a summer school program in partnership with our local school division that is focused on voyageur canoeing.
As part of our team of activity specialists, the Waterfront Specialist will also assist in the planning and leadership of base camp activities.
