Tripping Staff – Worker, Campground

Qualifications, Minimum Bronze Cross, Preferred NLS

Dates: June 24-August 22

Optional, but desired extension August 22-August 28.

• Planning the trip
• • • Ensures that all equipment, food, supplies and camper’s medication are in good condition and ready for use
    • Must ensure that all plans are sound regarding protection of health and safety, including COVID-19 Plans 
    • Works Closely with Kitchen staff to determine meals for the trip
    • Lead pre-trip program with trip participants, focusing on safety and trip preparation
    • Manages inventory through Gesher’s Google Drive Master Inventory List.

• Running the trip 

• • Care for the maintenance of tripping materials over the duration of the trip 
  • Ensuring the site is left clean 
  • Ensure adherence to health and safety plans, including COVID-19 Protocols
  • Facilitate meal prep, site cleanup and tent set up
  • Facilitate relevant programming during the trip
  • Work as Lifeguard for all water portions of the trip
  • Clean and maintain all trip equipment and organize its storage at the end of the trip

• Counselor component

• • When not preparing or running a trip, acts as a floating camp counselor where needed
  • Acts as an extra lifeguard when at camp
