Swimming Area Head
Reports to: Program Director
Pay Rate: starting at $350 per week (+$80 per week for NL and LSI) with additional compensation provided for relevant certifications and skills.
Contract Dates: June 23 – August 30, 2024
The Swimming Area Head is responsible for executing all aspects of the Swimming program. The Swimming Area Head will provide the required skills and expertise to deliver an active and engaging swimming program, including hard skill development and play-based activities. They will coach and supervise the Swimming Area staff and ensure all risk management practices are being followed. The Swimming Area Head will work in conjunction with the Boating Area Head to facilitate all waterfront emergency procedures. As an Area Head, they will work in conjunction with the Area Head team to plan and deliver all RKY Camp programming, support counsellors as mentors, and interact directly with children.
Required: Standard First Aid with CPR-C, National Lifeguard, Lifesaving Instructor (LSI) (or willing to obtain), Pleasure Craft Operators Card, experience working with a team of lifeguards.
Preferred: Standard First Aid Instructor.
