Bayview Glen is currently looking to hire Unit Heads for the coming Summer of 2021. The Unit Head position will be part of our head staff team and will be responsible for the organization of the entire camp schedule and program for one of our 4 camper age groups. This position reports directly to the Camp Director.

Responsibilities and Duties

Create and organize daily camp schedule for their age group. Including scheduling cabin groups to specific activites.

Enduring camper attendance is completed during pickup/dropff times.

Responsible for supervising all campers and staff members that are part of the Unit while on-site with our camp program.

Ensure the safety and health of campers and staff while on-site.

Ensuring all Covid-19 Safety protocols and Government regulations are being followed.

Communicate regularly with health team member to ensure awareness of any physical, psychological, emotional and/or medical limitations of campers and/or staff that could affect their safety in the water.

Supervises seving of campers lunch and supervise lunchtime activities.

Participate and organize in all theme days as outlined by the camp schedule.

Qualifications and Skills

Candidate must have completed 2nd year University at start of Camp Season.

Experience scheduling for around 100 campers.

Experience organizing training for staff on expectations while working with youth.

Valid Early Childhood Education certificate/degree.

Standard First Aid Training and CPR- C or higher required (certified on or after September 2019).

Comfortable providing detailed and written incident/accident reports.

Preference given to those applicants with previous experience within a camp setting.

· As a condition of employment, a current Vulnerable Sector Screening Police Check and First Aid certification will be required.
