Site Manager

General Info:

Work Term: June 25th – August 19th 2022
Salary: $2879.94 + room & board

Description: Camp Misquah is looking for a qualified, organized and skilled Site Manager for our summer camp. The Site Manager is expected to maintain open lines of communication and work in a cooperative manner with the Camp Director and Assistant Director in order to best support the site’s physical needs. The Site Manager will be responsible for the overall cleanliness and maintenance of the camp site. Reports directly to the Camp Director and Assistant Director.


  • Competent in a wide variety of maintenance work
  • Management and building experience are assets
  • Standard First Aid + CPR are assets
  • Must be able to provide a Criminal Record Check
  • Will receive basic ASL, CPI & consent training. Will be trained on camp procedures.


  • Tend to small repairs, and handiwork around the campsite
  • Maintain the well-being and cleanliness of the camp site (e.g mopping, sweeping, sanitizing, refilling soap dispensers, cleaning the toilets, changing garbages, etc.)
  • Create and materialize ideas to make functionality of the camp site more efficient, fun, diverse, and accessible
  • Be an active member of the Senior Staff team and complete “Manager on Duty” jobs on a rotating schedule
  • Others duties as assigned

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or in a summer camp environment is an asset
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities and ability to problem solve effectively
  • Able to work in an outdoor environment for long periods of time
  • High energy. Candidates should be prepared for physical labor of lifting, moving and lots of walking –
  • Able to work in an outdoor environment for long periods of time
  • Knowledge of building, electrical, plumbing, cleaning and outdoor maintenance or ability to learn all essential skills.
