Section Head Team 

The Section Head Team is responsible for the overall care of camp participants by providing support and supervision to the Counselling/MACK Team. Section Heads are directly involved in daily cabin programming in their sections. They will provide mentoring and coaching to the counselling team to ensure that all programming is high quality and age appropriate.  Furthermore, the Section Head Team works closely with other departments of camp to communicate common challenges and ensure camper care is paramount. In case of escalated participant incidents or concerns, the Section Head Team step in to assist counselling staff, provide coaching and guidance and communicate with parents and families as necessary to resolve the issue. The Section Head Team is directly supervised by one of the Summer Camp Directors.

Counselling Section Head 

The Counselling Section Heads are each responsible for one age cohort at camp (Bantam, Junior, Senior or Pioneer). Each Section Head is responsible for the overall supervision of the campers within their section. They will be in charge of planning and facilitating section nights and helping to manage any escalating camper conflicts that arise within their section.

Counselling Section Heads will supervise the MACK’s and Counsellors in their section throughout the session. Counselling Section heads will oversee and assist in the planning and facilitation of camper cabin programs within their section. Counselling Section Heads are expected to be flexible and step in where needed to support counselling staff in cabins and programming as needed including but not limited to out trips.

Counselling Section heads are also responsible for the organization, distribution and collection of Camper Experience Forms, Parent Letters, Post Cards and Birthday Cards. Counselling Sections heads should have a high level of organization and be able to complete tasks within a tight dead line.

Inclusions Section Head 

The Inclusion Section Head is responsible for overseeing the care and well-being of campers that are working with a 1:1 staff member. The Inclusions Section Head is responsible for properly preparing each staff person who will be working with a 1:1 participant prior to their arrival. They are also the main contact between camp and those campers’ families.  The Inclusion Section Head will work with 1:1 staff and participants on a daily basis to provide coaching, support, and quality programming.  They will be in charge of welcoming volunteers with special needs and supporting them throughout their stay.

 

They will support the Counselling Section Heads with their duties involving paperwork and will help problem solve more difficult camper conflicts but their main priority is with inclusions participants and volunteers.

Salary starting $400 per week
