Sailing Leader at Canadian Adventure Camp
Canadian Adventure Camp is a full-service children’s summer camp located on beautiful 160-acre Adventure Island in Temagami, Ontario! We feature a full program of 35 great camp activities, including 4 specialty programs, with campers and staff from around the world! Canadian Adventure Camp is the summer camp home to 140 children and youth, aged 5 through 17 years.
CAC operates a small sailing program for campers using our Pico sailing boats. We are seeking an individual with sailing experience and a desire to use their passion for sailing to inspire campers, and provide awesome experiences. As a sailing activity leader you would be required to hold a current lifeguarding qualification (NLS desirable, Bronze Cross essential). Furthermore, our sailing activity leader is also one of our camp counselors. This means you could expect a hugely diverse role, with regular sailing sessions at its core, but which involves much much more. Whether it’s guarding at a waterfront, hanging out in the cabin, or leading an Archery session, there are no dull moments in this position.
All staff must be at least 19 years old with our all‑adult staff averaging around the age of 22 years old. This position is suited to an individual with sailing experience and who is ready for a challenge, and to make a difference to a child’s summer. The position is incredibly fulfilling and rewarding, and requires adaptable, resilient, and compassionate team players.
If this sounds like the position for you, and you have a positive attitude, you love working with children, and you are ready for an immersive, rewarding and rustic summer on beautiful Lake Temagami, learn more about the position and apply via our website.
