Prep Cook/Dishwasher

Our amazing team is focused on fun, active and meaningful support of children and teens with complex neurobiology. You will join a group of 70 staff as we embark on a bright and diverse adventure to help 140 children. Job Description:
As a dishwasher, you will be the backbone of the kitchen team and as a prep cook, you will be responsible for helping the Chef and Sous Chef with food preparation. Maintaining a safe and sanitary kitchen environment while learning valuable skills in a relaxed environment.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Assisting Chefs and Line Cooks with food preparation
- Assisting with dining hall set up prior to each meal period
- Rinsing and spraying dishes prior to feeding into the dishwasher.
- Cleaning dishes and cookware after each meal period
- Helping to maintain a clean and organized kitchen
- May be required to lift up to 50lbs
- Standing almost 100% of the time during your shifts
- Assisting with putting away orders and breaking down boxes
Camp Winston reserves the right to re-assign the duties of an employee at any time to ensure the safety of our campers, teens and staff. Job may include “other duties as assigned.”

Qualifications and Experience Considered an Asset:
- A basic understanding and knowledge of cleanliness
- A keen sense of responsibility
- Some prior kitchen experience is an asset but not required
- Willingness to learn
Location, Hours, Work Environment & Compensation:
- Camp Winston (1147 Riverlane Pvt. Kilworthy, ON) from June – August 2023
- Contract Hourly Wage: $15.50 – $17 based on experience
- Summer contracts available as required
- Start and End Dates June 1st, 2023 – Aug 31, 2023
