The Lifeguards are responsible for ensuring all participants and Team Members are safe and engaged when at the pool. They support the Counsellors by providing additional program resources and facilitate specialized programs. They are responsible for making time in the pool safe and enjoyable for all and ensure campers have the opportunity to try new things, develop skills and explore their relationship to water . They are responsible for supporting GET WET! programs beyond the pool area and developing activities and program sessions that engage campers in water play and exploration. They are responsible for maintaining the pool area, monitoring pool chemical conditions and testing requirements and meeting all regulatory requirements (OCA, Health Unit, etc.).
