Moorelands Camp…. because every kid deserves a childhood.

Tucked away on 45 acres of sandy beaches and dense forests, accessible only by boat is Moorelands Camp. Each summer we serve over 600 economically disadvantaged children and youth from Toronto.  It is our desire to see each child enjoy nature, gain social skills and experience personal growth; we do that through our intentional programs.

Working at Moorelands is demanding, challenging and rewarding! Our staff are positive, enthusiastic team players who  put the needs of others before their own. They are ready for the challenge of being a strong influence, a consistent role model, and mentor to the youth that come to Moorelands. Staff are 18 years of age or older.

Camp sessions are week long; staff enjoys 1 +½ days off in-between sessions, transportation to Toronto is provided for days off. As we are an overnight camp, staff are expected to stay onsite (room and board provided) throughout the week.

Camp Nurse (RN/RPN) – The Camp Nurse is responsible for the health and wellness of all participants and staff at the camp. They see patients throughout the day, administer any medication or treatment needed, and educate the camp community on proper healthy lifestyles. This is a great opportunity to practice and improve your diagnostic abilities and gain experience in a supervisory role as you will be responsible for supervising a nursing student. Please note that the successful applicant can be a graduating student and must be registered with the College of Nurses by July 1, 2023

Health Care Assistant (minimum 3rd year nursing student) – The Health Care Assistant assists the Camp Nurse in the overall health and wellness of participants and staff at the camp. They assist (may be supervised or unsupervised) with patient check ups, medication, and educating the community on proper healthy lifestyles. This is a great opportunity for a nursing student looking for additional experience in a fast paced and fun environment.
