Day Camp Program Staff

Job Description: The Willowgrove Program Staff are responsible for helping the Programs Coordinator with the development and execution of program areas at camp.

Head of Arts: May 30, 2022 – August 30, 2022. This position oversees leading the specialty arts program for our Sophomore and Senior divisions that include art and theater, as well as assisting with leading the Makers (arts & crafts) program for other divisions and any other programs as needed. During the spring, the Head of Arts will assist the program team curriculum development and getting the camp prepared for the summer.

General: June 29, 2022 – August 26, 2022. This position is a jack of all trades and an asset to the smooth execution of our programs. General Program Staff will be required to lead activity areas, assist with program planning, and being a substitute counsellor when needed. Each day will be different and unique!

Position Requirements:

• Age 18+ with a minimum 3 years of camp experience (not applicable for General Program Staff)

• Head of Sports, Head of Art, and Special Event Program Staff must be available to work the full contract. General Program staff must be able to work a minimum of 6 weeks

• Strong verbal communication skills

• Standard First Aid/CPR-C by the start of camp

• Clean vulnerable sector police record check

Vaccination Policy: Willowgrove requires all staff to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 as defined by the Ontario government at least 14 days prior to the start of their contract
