Job Description: The Willowgrove Counselling staff are directly responsible for an assigned group of campers with the assistance of a Co-Counsellor. Counselling staff are responsible for the overall health and safety of each camper, as well as ensuring that each camper is enjoying and participating in the camp program. Counselling staff are expected to set good examples for our campers through facilitating and participating in camp programming, being a positive influence, and caring for each campers needs. Counselling staff may be required on occasion to communicate directly with parents/guardians about their child’s care on drop off and pickup.

Employment Dates: Counselling staff must work a minimum of 6 out of 8 camp weeks. Staff are expected to work all 5 days of each session.

Position Requirements:

• Counselling staff must be age 16 by the end of the year

• Ability to communicate and work as a member of a team

• Able to be active and engaged for the full camp day (up to 8 hours). Most areas of our site are accessible and we are able to make accommodations for any campers or staff that require

• Standard First Aid/CPR-C is are not required but strongly recommended

• Clean vulnerable sector police record check

Salary: $300 – $450 per week based on age and experience
