Glen Bernard Camp (GBC) provides a caring experience in which campers and staff develop self-confidence. The environment fosters both independence and group belonging. Fun is fundamental to the success of GBC.
GBC is one of Ontario’s premier summer camps for girls and Outdoor Education Centres for co-ed school groups. Located 45km north of Huntsville and 6km west of Algonquin Park, GBC includes over 700 acres of land with a kilometer of shoreline. Founded in 1922, GBC has an established reputation of helping campers develop self-confidence and independence, as well as being a leader in environmental education. Each day is filled with opportunities to challenge campers of different ages and skill levels in a wide variety of activities.

Position Requirements:
- Current Bronze Cross, or above, completed by employment start date
- Current Standard First Aid with CPR-C completed by employment start date
- Good problem solving and decision making skills
- Thrive working as a member of a team
Responsibilities include:
- managing a cabin group of 6-10 campers with another staff member, including the responsibility for the safety and well-being of each camper
- teach skills to campers in selected activities
- assist in planning various programs and activities
- writing reports to communicate camper progress to parents or other staff
