Wanted: Canoe Trip Counsellors (Guides)
Are you interested in spending your summer on a lake in Algonquin Park? Do you have a passion for the outdoors? If so, then you should come be a part of the Taylor Statten Camps staff team!
The Taylor Statten Camps are Canada’s oldest fourth generational family-run traditional summer camp. We are located on Canoe Lake in Algonquin Provincial Park. The camp is made up of Camp Wapomeo for Girls and Camp Ahmek for Boys. Our camper’s age varies from 6 – 16.
Canoe Trip Counsellor (Guide)
Camp: Ahmek & Wapomeo
The canoe trip guides are out on flat-water canoe trips all summer long. Guides average between 30 and 40 days on the water each summer. When in camp, the guides are assigned duties ranging from filling in as Cabin Counsellors, to helping in the Guide Shack/Trip Room and/or helping at in camp Activities and Program. Guides work with counsellors and C.I.T.s to provide a safe, challenging, and memorable experience. Strong canoe tripping skills and a knack for building and maintaining a positive group dynamic are a must. A current Bronze Cross and Wilderness First Aid are required as well as previous tripping experience.

- Wilderness First Aid
Compensation varies depending on age and experience. All positions include room, board, laundry and use of facilities. Dates of employment: June 19 – August 26, 2022 inclusive
