Camper Inclusion Director

Bayview Glen is currently looking to hire a Inclusion Program Director for the coming Summer of 2023 to work with campers ages 7 – 13. The Unit Head position will be part of our head staff team and will be responsible for the organization of the entire camp schedule and program for one of our camper age groups. This position reports directly to the Camp Director.

Responsibilities and Duties
-Create and organize individualized inclusion plan for campers requiring 1:1 support. 

-Communicate with families to obtain all necessary documentation to create individualized inclusion plan.
-Responsible for supervising all campers and staff members that are part of the inclusion program throughout Summer months. 

-Ensure inclusion campers are participating with their cabin groups. 

-Ensure inclusion staff are meeting expectations through constant supervision and check-ins
-Ensure the safety and health of campers and staff while on-site.
-Ensuring all Covid-19 Safety protocols and Government regulations are being followed.
-Communicate regularly with head staff team to ensure awareness of any physical, psychological, emotional and/or -medical limitations of campers and/or staff that could affect their safety in the water.
-Communicate any difficulties with camp families. 

Qualifications and Skills
-Candidate must have completed 2nd year University at start of Camp Season.
-Experience working with youth that require additional support
-Experience organizing training for staff on expectations while working with youth that require additional support
-Standard First Aid Training and CPR- C or higher required
-Comfortable providing detailed and written incident/accident reports.
-Preference given to those applicants with previous experience within a camp setting.
· As a condition of employment, a current Vulnerable Sector Screening Police Check and First Aid certification will be required.
