Camp Craft Instructor
Camp: Ahmek & Wapomeo
We are currently seeking two (2) Camp Craft Instructors, one (1) at each camp.
Camp Craft is the bridge between our in-camp program and out of camp canoe tripping program. The focus is on camp craft skills such as orienteering, map reading, fire starting, fire by friction, tent setup, tarp setups, cooking, and plant/wildlife identification. Whoever heads-up Camp Craft needs to be creative, flexible and have a lot of initiative and knowledge of the outdoors. It is a very flexible program and can be tailored to suit the instructor’s skillset and the age of the campers. In 2022 we also introduced Fishing to this program on a daily basis- this can also be flexible depending on the applicants’ areas of interest.
