Since 1912, Sparrow Lake Camp has been a not-for-profit traditional overnight summer camp located just north of Orillia on beautiful Sparrow Lake. Sparrow Lake is an inclusive community aimed at providing quality camp experiences for children and youth regardless of religion, gender, culture, ability, or economic status.

Title: Cabin Counsellor – Boys Cabins

Location: Sparrow Lake, Severn, Ontario – Between Orillia & Gravenhurst, Ontario

Dates of Employment: June 25 – August 25, 2023 (start date can be flexible to accommodate school activities)

Competitive salary plus room & board commensurate with experience. $1700-$3200/season – based on experience and education

Position Responsibilities:

• Providing care for each child in a cabin group of campers which includes supervision, security, safety, health, happiness, hygiene and emotional needs.
• Taking care of yourself, physically and emotionally so you can put children first.
• Be an enthusiastic, caring, positive role model each camper needs each day they are at camp to 
help make camp their best experience ever!
• Ensuring all campers are included in all activities and feel a special part of their community.
• Maintaining a clean and organized cabin and living space.
• Assisting in the operation of the camp program and camp wide activities.
• Providing leadership in resource areas as assigned by the Staff Manager.
• Complete a staff evaluation and recommendation report by the end of the summer.

• Must submit a Police Reference Check (if 18+)
• Previous childcare or camp experience and asset
