Camp Menesetung – Who We Are: Overnight Camp, Day Camp, Outdoor Ed. Centre on the shore of Lake Huron – just north of Goderich, Ontario. Camp Menesetung (30 staff, 70-100 campers/week) is a non-profit charity that seeks to lead the way in creating inclusive, healthy, and sustainable community through the Spirit of outdoor adventure. Camp Menesetung also supports a Spring Program Staff team (May-June) which all applicants are welcome to apply for in addition to this position.
Required Qualifications: Age: 17+, Standard First Aid/CPR-C (by June 26th, 2023), clean vulnerable sector police check (for those 18+ only).
Salary: Dependent on experience and certifications, between ($375-$600/week + Room&Board)
Employment Dates: Summer Sessions (Sunday-Friday) July 2nd-August 25th, 2023, shorter term contracts available with prior discussion. Week off is possible.
Responsibilities: The music and drama coordinator should be able to assess groups’ energy levels, and always have a plan that is suitable for the group in the moment. Music and drama takes place in the A-frame, with plenty of space to move around and perform. Using a diverse range of songs, musical pieces, skits, acting opportunities, and games; engage and expose campers to their inner talents and new fun experiences! This position is a dual role. You are responsible for a group of campers throughout down-time, meal-times, and overnight (with breaks of course!) as a Cabin Counsellor, ensuring needs are met and great fun is had, working with your assigned Leader In Training.
