Art Director

Our goal here at Christie Lake Kids is to provide an exceptional camp experience for all campers ensuring a safe and fun environment.  As facilitators of the camper experience, to strive to raise self-esteem.  

RESPONSIBILITIES

Including but not limited to,

Develop and co-ordinate the arts and craft program.
Care and maintain all equipment required for the program.
Supervise all arts and craft activities.
Maintain a safe activity environment at all times.
Participate in all aspects of the camp program as required.
Plan alternate activities for children in the event of adverse weather.
Order arts & crafts supplies and maintain inventory.
Clearly explain, monitor and support expectations of campers.
Create a positive and supportive atmosphere within the program.
Professionally attend to all assignments and supervisory duties.
Carry out any other responsibilities as designated by the Director.

Time Commitment
 Our camp will be running for a total of three 12 day  over night sessions between July and august. We require staff to be on site for the duration of these 12 days and then there will be a period of approximately 3 days between the sessions. In those 3 days staff no staff or campers will be on the property.

QUALIFICATIONS

Experience:

Experience and/or desire to work with children in dynamic outdoor setting.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Be of excellent character, modeling honesty, integrity and respect.
Possess enthusiasm, energy, patience and sense of humour.
Skilled at dealing with all children, including those who are challenging.
Ability to relate well to peers, to be a team player, to give/receive feedback.
Confidence in leading activities and groups
