Board Elections

Each fall, the OCA turns its attention to the election of officers for the upcoming Board term (January 1, 2024 to December 31, 2025). Learn more about our current Board Members.

The positions available in the upcoming election will be one Secretary and four Directors. For further information about the available positions, please click here.

Deadline for submission for candidates: November 1 by 9:00 a.m.

Candidates are to express their interest, indicating the position(s) of interest, to Candidates should fill out this form, and include all items requested. Dave will follow up with each candidate and will provide specific instructions regarding any additional information needed to proceed.

New Board Members will be encouraged to join the December OCA Board Meeting, on December 13, 2023. In addition, there will be a New Board Member orientation provided (as required).

The OCA is looking for professionals within and beyond the camp industry who are passionate about OCA’s mission and values. We are committed to having a Board of Directors that represents the diversity of our community, and for that reason the OCA is having a public call for nominations. The Elections Committee is interested in candidates with:

  • Previous board or non-profit experience;
  • Accreditation, risk management or strategic planning knowledge;
  • Government relations experience; or
  • Professional knowledge related to legal or finance; and
  • A love of the camp and the outdoor education industry.

All Board Members who are not currently members of OCA will be asked to take out an Individual Membership for the duration of their tenure on the Board.

If you know anyone who is not a member of OCA but whose professional experience would make them a good candidate, please share this information with them.
